Description

White birds in flight alternate with golden flowers and botanical forms across a deep navy ground, arranged in a symmetrical repeating pattern reminiscent of Scandinavian folk art. The composition balances organic shapes with geometric precision, using warm ochre and coral accents to punctuate the cool, meditative palette. Printed on a large polyester top with a non-slip rubber backing and made to order, room enough for keyboard and mouse. Hi, I'm Cecilia, a Sydney-based surface designer and artist with a background in fine arts. My work is inspired by the Golden Age of Illustration, ancient Chinese and Japanese textiles and historical European Chinoiserie, Mid-Century Modern, and contemporary Australian symbolic painters.
